ZOiD's Site for Electronic Music People

This course is for you if you are either a beginner (not a complete beginner – see below for minimum requirements) at making electronic music, or you’ve been doing it for a while but want to go back over the fundamental principles of electronic musicmaking, including:

Composition 🎡

Sound Design πŸ”Š

Getting Bass and Kick To Work Together 🎧

Compression πŸ—œ

Using Effects (reverb, delay, chorus etc) πŸ˜Άβ€πŸŒ«οΈ

Mixing 🎚

Arrangment πŸŽ™

Note: you will need a DAW to do this course, such as Ableton, Logic, Reaper, Bitwig, FL Studio, Cubase… or anything similar.

This course is not suitable for COMPLETE BEGINNERS. The minimum knowledge you would need is being able to open a project on your DAW, record sounds in, load VST plugins, and start a basic midi sequence.

I’ve been thinking about this course for many years and will be putting in knowledge I gained from mentors including Funk d’Void, Red Rack’em, Dan Curtin, Jordan GCZ and Ben Pest. It’s not focused on any particular style – the focus will be on developing YOUR OWN sound. By far the MOST important thing to me is to sound like yourself and no one else.

There will be 7 modules plus one bonus module. Each Module consists of several videos, mini-assignments and a big assignment. You will be able to complete the course in minimum 2-3 hours per month, although if you have more time you will benefit from spending more time than that on the assignments. There will also be an optional monthly 1-hour group zoom session where you can ask questions, and a discord channel you can join for course participants.

The course is €147
